I'm in a rally cry, frustrated because as a little girl I remember looking at my brown skin and being so happy to be a part of this bigger family . It was a pride that I want not to be lost with this generation which is under attack believing that they are somehow LESS than. Even when a young boy told me that his people would have owned my people or when another little girl told me she couldn't sit by me on the school bus, I had this engrained pride yet today we not only hear harmful things, we witness senseless murders ending with little justice. This collection is not about being radical with the seemingly anything but radical term of Black Lives Matter it is about awareness. B.Birdwatcher decided to launch the BLM Bracelet so that we can support the lives that some tend to mistrust, look past, judge without truly understanding, and justify loving less. I will use my platform to donate money to minority youth charities.
